You're All Stars

The Mass High Tech All-stars awards are a yearly Who’s Who of the local high tech world. Award winners are chosen from such sectors as advanced energy, biotech, medical devices, electronics, hardware, Internet, software and telecommunications.  A gala event is held where the winners give short speeches (140 characters.)  For every character over 140, the speaker donates $5 to a chosen charity.  This year the charity is the FIRST Robotics program.

Mass Inno at MassChallenge

Our only Boston proper Mass Innovation Nights event of 2011 went off like clockwork in MassChallenge's funky space down on the waterfront.  Home during the Summer to more than 100 companies, the space continues to serve as a startup Mecca, also playing host to MITX and BostInnovation.

Our First Woburn Mass Innovation Nights: MIN31, the Roundup

Our first Mass Innovation Nights event in Woburn was giant!  No where else have we had as big a presence as we did at the TradeCenter 128 for our 31st event.  In fact, you could feel our presence from MILES away...only a little exaggeration there!

In addition to the humongous sign right along 95/128 welcoming Mass Innovation Nights, we also had a one-of-a-kind presentation set up with a massive screen set up across the 2 story-tall TradeCenter 128's atrium glass wall.  A big collective "wow" and "thank you" to the crack team at Cummings Properties who put it all together.  (And fed us, and in general spoiled us forever for other less swanky settings.) Thanks as well to serial entrepeneur Bill Cummings, who came out to check out the goings-on, and who hires such great people.

Let me put it to you this way -- Mass Innovation Nights Number 31 was sooooo big....(how big was it?)...that tech writer Janet is splitting up her blogging on the event into multiple parts.  (That's how big.)

Follow up to September 2011 FutureM MIN30

On Wednesday we had another great Mass Innovation Nights event -- our thirtieth event!  Can't believe it!  And it was another "special" event -- this time, in recognition of FutureM, we focused our attention on new marketing products.  And the marketing world focused its attention on us!

August 2011 Foodie Followup

The Second Annual Mass Innovation Nights Foodie was an unqualified success!

As background, the foodie event isn't just food.  It is innovation related to food.  This week the IBM Innovation Center contained  everything from dipped fruit to whoopie pies, water filters to websites, coffee brewers to tomato growing kits, from sauces and chocolate to a new foodie magazine and a kit for grilling pizza.  And a couple hundred smartphone toting foodies.  Were you there too?

Welcome to Innovation Nights

Over the past two years, Mass Innovation Nights has helped to support the launch of more than 250 new products in the Boston region.  Everything from gourmet dog food to iPhone apps to enterprise software to medical devices and inventions has gone through the "MIN" process -- crowd sourced promotion of a single night event where local social media mavens help generate visibility for new products.  Collectively we've generated hundreds of tweets, blog posts, posted videos, pictures and status updates.

Originally created as a way to support entrepreneurs and innovators in all market segments, we're determined to create a way for other communities to replicate what we're doing in Boston.  Mass Innovation Nights is now Innovation Nights.  We're releasing this beta version of the Innovation Nights platform at our April event but continuing to run this and the next few events off the MassInnovationNights.com website while we test it.
